About the roleThe Director of Brand is a highly hands-on leader responsible for both defining the brand strategy and executing it day to day. This role blends strategic thinking with operational ownership ensuring the brand is not only well articulated but consistently brought to life through high-quality work. You will oversee creative development while actively contributing to key initiatives acting as both brand steward and doer. This role is ideal for someone who loves building brands leading teams and rolling up their sleeves to make the work real.This role reports to the VP of Marketing and Communications and works closely with the Director of Communications and cross-functional partners across the company.What youll doOwn and evolve the companys brand strategy positioning and narrative across all channels and audiencesTranslate brand strategy into clear executable plans creative briefs and guidelinesOversee and actively participate in creative development across campaigns events digital experiences and contentEnsure brand standards are consistently applied across all marketing assets platforms and touchpointsDevelop and lead brand strategy for social media large-scale events product launches and integrated marketing campaignsAct as a brand evangelist internally and externally building deep understanding and enthusiasm for the brandWork cross-functionally with marketing communications product marketing and leadership to align brand with business objectivesReview refine and personally contribute to high-visibility and high-impact brand workMinimum Qualifications10 years of experience in brand creative or marketing roles with increasing leadership responsibilityDemonstrated experience overseeing creative development and managing designers creatives or marketersExperience owning and enforcing brand standards across multiple channels and platformsWorking knowledge of the full marketing mix including social paid media SEO digital out-of-home and experiential marketingStrong communication skills and the ability to turn abstract ideas into clear actionable directionPreferred QualificationsExperience building or scaling a brand during periods of growth transformation or category creationBackground working with complex technical or B2B brandsComfort operating in fast-moving environments where priorities evolve and speed mattersExperience working with both in-house teams and external agenciesA portfolio or body of work that demonstrates brand-building impact and creative excellenceUS Salary Range170000-200000 annually The salary range for this role is an estimate and is based on a wide variety of compensation factors. The salary offered to candidates will vary based on a variety of factors including but not limited to relevant work experience education specialized training critical expertise training and more. Equity in Forterra is included in most of our full-time high-demand roles and is therefore considered part of Forterras overall compensation package.
