Primary Purpose:
Provide leadership and direction for the ongoing development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of the ESL/Bilingual instructional program(s). Provide leadership to ensure high standards of developmentally appropriate instruction, student performance and school readiness. Oversee compliance with state and District policies, efficacious instructional programs, and operation of all ESL/Bilingual programs across the District. Support classrooms through the implementation of the most effective practices.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
? Master's degree required
? Valid Teaching certificate, Bilingual certificate and ESL certificate with at least 5 years successful
teaching experience and demonstrated experience in teaching BIL/ESL
? Texas principal or Mid-Management certification preferred
? Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
