Job Description Summary:

Summary:

As the Financial Controller, you are responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight of the company''s financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring fiscal integrity, optimizing resource allocation, and supporting enterprise-wide decision-making. You will lead a team of finance professionals, oversee key financial processes, and partner cross-functionally to drive performance, compliance, and long-term sustainability.

Job Description:

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of the Accounting and Finance departments, ensuring alignment with company vision, financial goals, and service standards
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain high-performing team members to foster engagement, accountability, and professional growth
  • Lead the execution of finance-related initiatives by converting strategic objectives into actionable plans with defined performance indicators
  • Oversee the preparation, accuracy, and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policy
  • Monitor and manage departmental budgets, forecasting, financial performance metrics, and cost control strategies to drive efficiency and profitability
  • Review balance sheet account reconciliations and financial reporting packages; ensure timely resolution of variances or discrepancies
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing process for all non-gaming related revenues
  • Manage payroll functions and related administrative duties to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, maintaining positive relationships with state, local, and public accounting representatives
  • Ensure effective internal controls are in place and enforce adherence to company policies and applicable regulations
  • Serve as a strategic business partner to senior leadership and operational departments, offering insights and recommendations based on financial data analysis
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company''s guest service culture standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of accounting or financial management experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or senior accounting role; hospitality or multi-unit industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success in leading financial teams and managing cross-functional projects or enterprise-wide finance initiatives
  • Exceptional decision-making, planning, and analytical skills with a proven track record of driving performance and delivering accurate, actionable financial insights
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication abilities; adept at influencing outcomes and leading through change
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to build and sustain high-performance teams through clear expectations, accountability, and mentorship
  • Skilled in financial forecasting, budgeting, GAAP, audit coordination, and internal control processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with analytics tools and business intelligence platforms
  • Experience with Workday is strongly preferred

Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
  • Verify right to work in the United States
