Responsibilities


Position Summary:


As our Director Trauma Services at California Hospital you will be responsible for trauma services at our Leavey Trauma Center.


You will direct the operations, work with Sr. Leadership on strategy and key initiatives, and work with other department Directors, Managers, and trauma staff to ensure we maintain high standards of patient care in a very fast paced environment.


With our new Patient Tower recently opened, this is a very exciting time for you to join us!


California Hospital's new patient tower invests in the future of healthcare in our community, and features a dramatically expanded Emergency Department, and increases our trauma capacity. We offer the latest technologies for the best possible care and outcomes.


The expansion includes; 6 trauma bays, 47 exam rooms, expanded patient capacity, dedicated ED pediatric rooms, and waiting areas for families to provide a calm, soothing environment.


We have the only Level II Trauma Center in the downtown area, and the Center has been recognized as having “zero deficiencies” since opening - we are one of the few hospitals nationwide to receive this distinction from the American College of Surgeons.


California Hospital is certified as an Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP), and we are the only full service ER in Downtown Los Angeles open 24/7. We serve more than 85,000 patients each year and provide efficient and high-quality emergency care with state-of-the-art equipment.

Qualifications


Required Education and Experience:


+ Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN) or equivalent education and experience, and Master's degree in nursing or other-related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA) required.

+ Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience required.

+ Minimum two (2) years of leadership experience required.


Required Licensure:


+ Registered Nursing License (RN) in CA required.

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
