Overview
Job Summary:
Establishes plans, directs, coordinates, evaluates, and maintains the standards of nursing practices and operating policies and related patient care activities, working in close collaboration with Administrative Director and the Chief Nursing Officer to meet and support diverse organizational business initiatives and strategies.
Responsibilities:
• Standardization of systems • Identification of efficiencies • Financial oversight for nursing programs and services • Integration of performance improvement strategies • Design of strategic nursing business initiatives, processes, and communication plans • Support for nursing goal attainment • Fostering patient, physician, and employee satisfaction
Works collaboratively with all hospital departments.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Leads the development, implementation, and improvement of care delivery models and services that supports the continuous enhancement of care delivery and patient, family, employee, and provider satisfaction.
Promotes the values of the nursing organization and upholds the nurse practice acts, abiding by nurses rights and compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
Fosters transparency, interdisciplinary collaboration, and accountability in all areas.
Enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, nursing services administration, and the delivery of services.
Optimizes resource allocation to support current and potential objectives and initiatives.
Leads a multidisciplinary workforce that provides clinically competent, efficient, and compassionate care and services in a professionally challenging environment.
Specifications
Experience
Minimum Required: 5 years of progressive, outcome-oriented leadership experience.
Preferred: Desired experience in a similar role or industry.
Education
Minimum Required: BSN.
Preferred: Desired education includes a Masters degree or plan to complete within 3 years.
Training
Minimum Required: Preferred training in a related field.
Preferred: Desired training includes certification in a specific area.
Special Skills
Minimum Required: Knowledge of healthcare issues, trends, legal compliance, and managed care with emphasis in all components and nursing operations.
Ability to foster collaborative partnerships in the development, implementation, and administration of service and program delivery.
Preferred: Desired special skills include specialty certification.
Licensure
Minimum Required: RN.
Preferred: Desired licensure includes additional certifications.
