Adult Oncology Department is a 21 bed unit at our Downtown Baker campus that delivers care to a diverse patient population who are recently diagnosed with an oncology diagnosis and for those who are at various phases of their disease process. Nursing care consists of administration and management of Chemotherapy regimens, blood administration, pain management, spiritual/ emotional support, and palliative care, while promoting nutrition within a healing environment. Our unit's culture endorses compassionate care to our patients and their loved ones we serve.

JOB SUMMARY
The Nurse Director is responsible 24 hours, 7 days a week for the operations and function of their assigned nursing unit/units. The Director is accountable for the management of clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery; the management of human, fiscal, and other resources; the development of personnel; compliance with regulatory and professional standards , strategic planning, and the fostering of interdisciplinary collaborative relationships within the areas of responsibility and the hospital as a whole. The Director serves as a patient advocate and for assuring that all patient needs including physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional are met.
