What if you could architect an entire value stream—and own its results?

Imagine building and steering a Large Format Machining (LFM) operation that underpins complex programs across industries—from aerospace and defense to healthcare, biotech, clean tech, chemicals, energy, lifestyle, food production, and industrial equipment. That’s the opportunity at Re:Build Manufacturing – New Kensington, where engineering, operations management, and technology come together to supercharge performance. We began with build-to-print and hourly engineering/design services and are scaling into sophisticated programs, production, and our own product lines. Our culture is candid, principled, fast-paced, and growth-minded.

The mission

Design the playbook and run the plays. From strategic plan to shop-floor execution, you will align production, engineering, and supply chain to remove waste, accelerate flow, and deliver safety, quality, and on-time performance.

How you’ll do it

  1. Stand up & scale: Evolve and execute the strategy to build and grow an LFM facility while leading daily production, maintenance, quality, and logistics.
  2. Make safety non-negotiable: Embed a zero-incident culture that meets OSHA, FDA, and environmental standards.
  3. Build the team: Recruit, hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing organization across production, quality, supply chain, and engineering.
  4. Lean the flow: Use Value Stream Analysis, Rapid Improvement Events, SMED, and 5S to remove non-value work and compress cycle time.
  5. Manage the numbers: Own the P&L; craft and manage budgets and capex; drive cost-reduction; optimize labor, overhead, and operating expenses.
  6. Synchronize the enterprise: Partner with Sourcing/Supply Chain, Technical, Quality, and Commercial teams to align capacity, materials, and process flow with market demand and product innovation.
  7. Advance the technology stack: Implement advanced machining processes, automation strategies, and quality control systems to achieve high yield at competitive cost.
  8. Continuously improve: Track OEE, productivity, scrap, and labor efficiency; apply basic problem solving and root-cause/countermeasure to lock in improvements.
  9. Lead the market: Stay current on emerging machining technologies to position the organization as an industry leader.

What you’ve mastered

  • BS/MS in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years running machine shop operations; large-scale machining experience strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years in leadership roles within sophisticated manufacturing.
  • Facility startup, NPI, and scale-up experience.
  • Expert-level understanding of machining processes, methods, equipment, and tooling.
  • Automation, Industry 4.0, and smart manufacturing proficiency.
  • Leadership that builds teams and develops talent.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking; Lean production background.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and related QMS.
