Position Summary
The Director, IT Project Management provides enterprise leadership for the planning, governance, and execution of IT and digital initiatives across the organization. This role is accountable for establishing consistent project intake, prioritization, delivery discipline, and performance management to ensure strategic initiatives are delivered predictably, efficiently, and with clear business value.
The Director leads the IT Project Management Office (PMO), partners with executive and operational leaders, and serves as the primary owner of enterprise IT delivery governance-ensuring strategy translates into execution while managing capacity, risk, and interdependencies.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Project Governance & Strategy Execution
PMO Leadership & Delivery Excellence
Lead, coach, and develop a team of project and program managers.
Define and enforce project management standards, methodologies, and tools across the enterprise.
Drive consistent execution across large, complex initiatives including:
Epic and clinical systems
Revenue cycle and ERP platforms
Digital health and AI initiatives
Infrastructure and cybersecurity programs
Improve delivery predictability, milestone discipline, and transparency.
Portfolio, Capacity & Risk Management
Own enterprise project portfolio visibility, including:
Active and proposed initiatives
Resource capacity and constraints
Delivery risk and dependencies
Provide actionable insights to executive leadership on tradeoffs, sequencing, and escalation management.
Reduce executive time spent on project triage by resolving issues at the appropriate governance level.
