Job Summary

The Director, HRIS & Analytics will set the strategic direction for HR information systems, and analytics at ZOLL.  The company is in its third year on the Workday platform, with a foundational infrastructure in place.  Our next phase of work involves increased functionality, building out more robust analytics, and enhancing HR and employee capabilities.  Should any new companies be acquired, this position will be responsible for setting up the integration plans. This role will work closely with HR leaders across the ZOLL businesses and partner with other leaders in key HR functions (compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, etc.) to prioritize projects and set the strategic direction for HRIS at ZOLL.  

The position will be responsible for overseeing a small team of HRIS resources to manage the data integrity, reporting requirements, user education and support of the HR systems. This is a corporate position that will support the needs across multiple ZOLL divisions.  In conjunction with Corporate IT, they will provide technical expertise and consultation to HR and the businesses they support. 

This person will report to the VP, Corporate HR and will work collaboratively across the HR community, and in partnership with IT.  The Director and their team will support roughly 7000 employees worldwide and ensure that their HR information is accurate, secure, available as needed. Through their work and the work of their team, the Director will help HR and business leaders gain the insights they need to positively impact ZOLL’s business results.

Essential Functions

  • Directs all Corporate HR application enhancements, projects and programs.  With the HRIS team, performs requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing and troubleshooting for Workday and associated integrations

  • Oversees/provides governance and strategic direction for the HR portfolio of technology projects and services.  Accountable for HRIS roadmap.  Establishes plan and manages team resources and budget to meet the plan

  • Identifies and oversees implementation of process improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the company’s HR efforts, specifically in the information systems space

  • Establishes and maintains strong and collaborative relationships with internal partners (HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, Compliance, etc.) and external vendors

  • Leverages Workday to provide HR dashboard reporting and analytics on key indicators of organizational health (time to fill, turnover, career progression, compensation differentiation, etc.).  Serves as an organizational resource and technical expert in this area

  • Supports the design and implementation of integrations between Workday and external systems

  • Ensures employee data is secure and that all compliance and controls are adhered to

  • Prioritizes projects and personally leads some of them

  • Provides management and oversight of the HRIS team

  • Maintains technical expertise by following market and industry trends and best practices

  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned

Required/Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8-10+ years’ experience in HRIS management or related function

  • 5-7+ years’ Workday experience, ideally including a large-scale implementation

  • At least 5 years’ experience in data analytics

  • 2+ years’ experience in team management

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred

  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time to reach all ZOLL employees

  • Credible professional with strong communication skills: listening, written, and verbal. Ability to connect with and work with employees at all levels, from front-line to executive team

  • Ability to work well independently with strong organization skills and effectively manage competing priorities

  • Basic knowledge of compliance requirements surrounding collection and protection of employee data, including GDPR and other international data privacy regulations

  • Operates with highest level of integrity and maintains confidentiality

  • Current or prior Workday certifications

This hybrid role is based in Chelmsford, MA, and requires an average of approximately one in-office day per week.

The annual salary for this position is:

$175,000.00 to $190,000.00

This position is eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the company's bonus plan. Factors which may affect starting salary include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
