Position Summary
The Director of Student Health Services provides leadership, clinical oversight, and strategic direction for the university's student health clinic. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality, accessible healthcare services that support student well-being and academic success. The Director collaborates across campus to promote health education, disease prevention, and a holistic approach to student wellness.
Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Provide clinical care for students, including assessment and treatment of minor illnesses and injuries
Oversee day-to-day operations of Student Health Services
Administer medications and ensure accurate documentation
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all applicable health privacy laws
Lead communicable disease response, tracking, and reporting efforts
Develop and implement health promotion and disease prevention initiatives
Collaborate with counseling services, disability services, and student affairs to support student wellness
Maintain accurate medical records and utilize electronic health record systems
Coordinate care with external healthcare providers as needed
Supervise and support health services staff
Provide health education and outreach to students and campus partners
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Dakota or eligibility for licensure
Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, including primary care
Current CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Health Education, or related field
Experience working in a college or university health center
Experience in mental health assessment and crisis intervention
Knowledge of sexual and reproductive health services
Experience developing health promotion and prevention programs
Compensation
$41,000-$45,000 and is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
