Job Summary
The Director, Food Services is responsible for the overall leadership, planning, and operation of the hospital's Food and Nutrition Services department. This role ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, and nutritionally appropriate food services for patients, employees, and visitors in compliance with CMS Conditions of Participation, Joint Commission standards, FDA Food Code, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The Director partners closely with clinical nutrition leadership (Registered Dietitian) to ensure appropriate therapeutic diet compliance, patient satisfaction, fiscal stewardship, and continuous regulatory readiness

Education
Licenses/Certifications
Food Protection Manager Certification from an ANSI-CFP accredited program Upon Hire (required) And
Other: One of the following credentials required: Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN), Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR), Certified Dietary Manager (CDM)* Upon Hire (required) Or
Other: *Individuals with a minimum of 2 years food service experience may be considered with a signed commitment to achieve CDM credentials within 15 months of hire or forfeit the position upon failure to do so. Signed agreement will be managed by the facility in consultation with the organization's Sr. Director of Clinical Nutrition, Culinary & EVS. Upon Hire (May be Considered)
Experience
2+ years food service management experience (required) And
Prior Experience in healthcare, acute-care, or institutional food service (preferred) And
Prior Experience supporting therapeutic diets, regulatory surveys, and food safety programs (preferred)
