The Team You'll Join
The Financial Systems organization is an embedded business technology team - we sit inside Finance, partner with Finance leadership, and are accountable for the Oracle Fusion platform that powers their operations. We bring technology depth, Oracle best practices, and an automation-first mindset to everything we do.
How You'll Contribute
This is an Oracle Fusion Record to Report (R2R) technology role. You are the platform expert for Envestnet''s end-to-end R2R lifecycle in Oracle Fusion - from General Ledger configuration and Subledger Accounting rules through period close automation, account reconciliation, intercompany processing, financial reporting, and FCCS-based consolidation. You are not a member of the Finance leadership team; you are the technology partner they rely on. Your job is to know the Oracle Fusion R2R platform deeply, proactively identify where it can be configured better, automated further, or aligned more closely to Oracle best practices - and then deliver those improvements in partnership with your Finance stakeholders. You translate their requirements into Oracle solutions. You introduce capabilities they didn''t know existed. You hold the standard for how the platform should be used. Key stakeholders: Chief Accounting Officer, Corporate Controller, GL and Close teams, FP&A, and external auditors. You serve them through technology excellence, not through accounting judgment.
- Own Oracle Fusion R2R platform configuration across GL, Close Manager, ARCS, Intercompany, FCCS, FRS/OTBI/BIP, Workato-enabled automation, and related integrations.
- Manage GL configuration, including chart of accounts design and governance, ledger setup, accounting calendar, currency configuration, SLA rules, account combinations, cross-validation rules, segment values, intercompany rules, and period-close configuration.
- Optimize journal entry generation and close execution by aligning Oracle configuration to accounting policy, reducing manual intervention, enforcing close calendar discipline, and proactively identifying GL configuration gaps.
- Own Oracle Fusion Close Manager, including task library design, close schedule configuration, dependencies, status reporting, real-time dashboards, and automation of repetitive close tasks through Oracle-native capabilities and Workato workflows.
- Partner with GL and Close teams to reduce close cycle time through better task sequencing, earlier cutoffs, exception-driven workflows, and improved visibility for Finance leadership.
- Own ARCS configuration and reconciliation governance, including profile templates, preparer/reviewer assignments, risk ratings, period-end workflows, completion and aging monitoring, and migration planning from BlackLine to ARCS.
- Configure and maintain Oracle Fusion Intercompany transaction flows, approval rules, netting, settlements, elimination rules, and India-to-US intercompany flows as the Tally-to-Oracle migration progresses.
- Own Oracle FCCS and EPM configuration, including metadata hierarchies, consolidation and translation rules, Groovy scripts, data forms, FDMEE/Oracle Data Management workflows, source-system mappings, EPM Cloud Automate refreshes, and Smart View templates.
- Support India Tally-to-Oracle Fusion migration from a consolidation perspective, including INR functional entity setup, FCCS extract design, multi-currency translation validation, and ledger architecture decisions with EY that impact FCCS.
- Own Oracle Financial Reporting Studio, OTBI, and BIP reporting for GL, close, management, and statutory reporting; ensure Finance leadership has accurate, timely, self-service reporting and partner with Data & Analytics to make GL and close data available in Snowflake.
- Consume revenue recognition outputs from RMCS into GL and FCCS by validating SLA mappings, ensuring consolidation alignment, coordinating period-end exception handoffs, and applying ASC 606 knowledge sufficient to configure automation and validate outputs.
- Apply R2R domain knowledge to serve as a credible technology partner to the CAO, Controller, Finance stakeholders, and auditors, including understanding where Oracle can support the lifecycle, what can go wrong, and where process and configuration improvements are needed.
- Use working knowledge of ASC 830, intercompany accounting mechanics, and SOX ITGC requirements to configure FCCS translation rules, Oracle elimination rules, compliant controls, system evidence, configuration documentation, and access-log support for audits.
- Continuously identify and deliver automation opportunities across manual journal entries, spreadsheet-based reconciliations, email-driven close tasks, report generation, R2R data pipelines, REST API payloads, and integration requirements.
- Bring Oracle Fusion R2R best practices proactively to Finance stakeholders, direct engineers and integration developers on requirements and outputs, and build a team with an automation-first, technology-excellence mindset.
What You'll Need to Bring
- 8+ years of experience implementing, configuring, or supporting Oracle Fusion R2R modules (GL, Close Manager, ARCS, Intercompany, FCCS, FRS/OTBI)
- Hands-on Oracle Fusion GL configuration experience - COA design, SLA rules, ledger setup, and period-close
- Demonstrated automation-first mindset: track record of eliminating manual processes through Oracle-native or Workato-driven solutions
- Experience partnering with Finance stakeholders as a technology advisor - translating accounting requirements into Oracle configurations
- Ability to direct engineers and integration developers: write functional specs, validate technical designs, and hold teams accountable to requirements
Nice-to-Haves
- Hands-on Oracle EPM/FCCS configuration experience - metadata, consolidation rules, and Groovy script development or maintenance (a dedicated EPM developer on your team owns the FCCS build)
- Experience managing offshore technical resources (India preferred)
- Player-coach capability: able to directly own platform configuration and close execution while building the team
- Oracle Fusion Close Manager and ARCS implementation or administration experience
- Experience with FDMEE / Oracle Data Management for EPM data integration
- Background in Oracle implementation consulting (Big 4 or Oracle SI) - R2R practice
- Experience with India entity onboarding in Oracle Fusion and cross-border consolidation
- Comfort in a data-forward environment: Snowflake, automated pipelines, API-driven integrations
- Financial services or wealth management industry experience
