Position Summary The Director, Field Systems & Intelligence is responsible for leading the technology, data, reporting, and execution support processes that enable Electrolit USA's field organization. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Strategic Planning & Insights, this role serves as the bridge between business strategy and field execution, ensuring organizational priorities are effectively translated into field-ready initiatives, measurable activities, and actionable insights. The Director oversees field systems, reporting infrastructure, data governance, and execution enablement programs that improve visibility, accountability, and performance across the organization while supporting informed decision-making and sustainable business growth. Key Responsibilities Field Systems & Product Ownership - Serve as the business owner for all field execution technologies, including Repsly, Field View, CRM platforms, and related sales enablement tools, ensuring they effectively support field execution, performance visibility, and organizational objectives.
- Lead system configuration, optimization, governance, and enhancement initiatives to improve field productivity, data quality, and user experience.
- Manage technology vendors, system integrations, contracts, and service delivery to support business objectives.
- Establish data governance standards, business rules, and quality controls to ensure accurate and actionable field execution data.
- Develop and maintain the field technology roadmap, prioritizing enhancements based on business needs, user feedback, operational effectiveness, and organizational priorities.
Execution Readiness & Field Enablement - Serve as the operational link between Strategic Planning & Insights, Sales, Marketing, and Field teams to ensure organizational priorities are translated into field-ready execution plans.
- Coordinate the intake, setup, deployment, and tracking of national promotions, distributor incentive programs, and other field execution initiatives within supported systems and reporting tools.
- Lead planning and execution support for field activations, blitzes, resets, and special market initiatives, ensuring clear objectives and measurement criteria.
- Partner with Field Sales leadership to ensure execution priorities, workflows, and reporting requirements accurately reflect field realities and business needs.
- Continuously evaluate and improve execution processes to increase field effectiveness, visibility, and accountability.
Data Intelligence & Reporting - Define, develop, and maintain key performance indicators, dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools that provide timely visibility into field execution performance.
- Lead the collection, analysis, and interpretation of field execution data to support organizational decision-making, performance improvement, and strategic planning efforts.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Strategic Planning & Insights leadership to align reporting outputs, performance metrics, and field intelligence with organizational objectives.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations that identify opportunities to improve distribution, promotional execution, compliance, and overall field effectiveness.
Training, Adoption, & Team Leadership - Lead change management, communication, and user adoption initiatives related to field systems, reporting tools, and execution processes.
- Develop and deliver training programs, resources, and best practices that enable effective use of field technologies and reporting tools.
- Lead, develop, and coach assigned team members, establishing clear goals, accountability measures, and professional development plans.
- Monitor system adoption, user engagement, and process compliance, implementing corrective actions and enhancements as needed.
- Serve as the organization's subject matter expert on field systems, execution data, and field intelligence, providing guidance to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Advanced knowledge of field sales execution, retail operations, distributor management, and commercial processes within CPG, beverage, or related industries.
- Expertise in field execution and CRM technologies, including Repsly, Salesforce, Power BI, Microsoft Power Platform, and related commercial systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop KPIs, dashboards, scorecards, and actionable business insights from large datasets.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT, and Field Operations.
- Strong project and change management capabilities, including technology implementation, process improvement, and user adoption initiatives.
- Excellent communication, presentation, training, and facilitation skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business solutions.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and manage analytical, technical, and operational team members.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- Seven (7) or more years of progressive experience in field operations, sales operations, commercial excellence, business intelligence, field technology, or related functions.
- Three (3) or more years of experience leading direct reports, cross-functional teams, strategic initiatives, or enterprise technology platforms.
- Proven experience supporting national field execution programs, including promotions, incentives, activations, merchandising initiatives, or retail execution strategies.
- Experience within consumer packaged goods (CPG), beverage, retail execution, or other route-to-market distribution environments strongly preferred.
Other Requirements • Ability to travel up to 50% as needed to support field observations, training initiatives, market activations, business meetings, and system implementation activities. Physical Requirements - Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time while analyzing data, preparing reports, and participating in meetings.
- Ability to frequently use a computer, keyboard, telephone, and other standard office equipment.
- Ability to travel domestically and move between office, distributor, retail, warehouse, and field environments as required to perform job responsibilities.
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
