Position Summary

The Director of Global Events is responsible for developing and executing LifeVantage's global event strategy in support of the company's sales, recognition, training, and business objectives. Reporting to the Global Sales organization, this leader creates world-class experiences that strengthen Consultant engagement, celebrate achievement, accelerate business growth, and reinforce the LifeVantage brand.

This role provides strategic leadership for the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of the company's premier events, including Global Convention, U.S. Momentum Academy, Executive Consultant Reunion, and support for international market events. The Director partners cross-functionally with Global Sales, Marketing, Communications, Product, Operations, International, Finance, and Executive Leadership to deliver seamless, high-impact experiences that inspire attendees while meeting business objectives.

The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with operational excellence, exceptional relationship management, financial stewardship, and a passion for creating memorable experiences that elevate the Consultant journey.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Includes the following and other duties as assigned.

Event Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute the company's global event strategy aligned with organizational priorities and sales objectives.
  • Create event experiences that drive Consultant engagement, recognition, training, retention, and business growth.
  • Establish event standards, processes, and best practices that ensure consistency across domestic and international events.
  • Evaluate emerging event trends, technologies, and attendee experience innovations to continually improve LifeVantage events.

Event Planning & Execution

Lead the planning and execution of LifeVantage's premier events, including:

  • Global Convention
  • U.S. Momentum Academy (twice annually)
  • Executive Consultant Reunion
  • International market events in partnership with regional leadership

Responsibilities include:

  • Venue sourcing and contract negotiation
  • Budget development and financial management
  • Project planning and timeline management
  • Registration strategy and attendee experience
  • Production, staging, and general session execution
  • Recognition ceremonies and special events
  • Vendor sourcing and management
  • Risk management and contingency planning
  • On-site leadership and operational oversight
  • Post-event evaluation and continuous improvement

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Serve as the primary event partner to Global Sales leadership.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all event experiences.
  • Partner with Product, Communications, International, and Operations to coordinate launches, training, recognition, and business updates.
  • Support Executive Leadership in developing impactful presentations and executive event experiences.
  • Ensure alignment across all departments contributing to event success.

Financial & Vendor Management

  • Develop and manage annual event budgets while maximizing return on investment.
  • Negotiate contracts with venues, production partners, hotels, travel providers, and vendors.
  • Monitor expenditures and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Ensure vendor performance meets LifeVantage standards for quality, service, and execution.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop the Global Events team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and service excellence.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and professional development opportunities.
  • Build scalable event processes that support future company growth.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Define success metrics for all major events.
  • Analyze attendee feedback, operational performance, and business outcomes.
  • Recommend improvements based on data, stakeholder feedback, and industry best practices.
  • Deliver post-event reporting and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

Education and/or Experience

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred. Relevant career experience will also be considered.

Experience

  • 8-10+ years of progressive leadership experience managing large-scale corporate events.
  • Experience leading conferences or recognition events with 2,000+ attendees preferred.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-million-dollar event budgets.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Direct selling, network marketing, or field sales experience strongly preferred.
  • International event experience preferred.
