We aim for a better-connected, safer and more prosperous world.\n \nAirbus Americas seeks a Director of Ethics & Compliance (E&C) to serve as the on-site E&C leader at its Mobile Manufacturing Site (MMS) located in the Gulf Coast Region of Alabama. This high-profile role requires a hands-on approach to integrate E&C into daily manufacturing operations, ensuring the highest standards of integrity. The Director will lead the E&C function at the MMS, driving awareness of Airbus' values and adherence to the expectations and controls that provide the foundation of our success. The position is particularly important given the significant expansion underway at the facility. Joining a small team making a big impact, the position directly reports to Airbus' North American Head of E&C based in Metro-DC. The candidate will be challenged from Day 1 to demonstrate leadership, build positive relationships and contribute to achieving program goals by learning, adapting and driving Airbus' Culture of Compliance through processes, tools and training at the site and across North America.\n \nThe E&C Director will join peers as part of the MMS Senior Leadership Team (SLT), providing counsel and assistance to the Head of Site, as well as leaders from Human Resources, Finance, Procurement, IM and Security - all with a goal of mitigating risk, ensuring effective controls, and helping the team grow and prosper.\n \nFinally, success in the position requires building trustful relationships with E&C colleagues in Europe and across the globe. In this context, the ideal candidate will combine high integrity and discipline with flexibility and enthusiasm to positively influence Airbus' future.\n \nPrimary Responsibilities:\n \nLeadership & Culture \n \n\u25cf Lead the cultural integration of ethics and compliance at the MMS, ensuring a visible, respected, and approachable E&C presence within a dynamic, technical manufacturing environment.\n \n\u25cf Demonstrate an authentic and positive mindset, good judgment and confidence to encourage approachability and gain trust.\n \n\u25cf Integrate into the MMS SLT by demonstrating value to the Site Head and his/her direct reports.\n \n\u25cf Lead, mentor, and manage the team of 5 volunteer Ethics & Compliance Representatives (ECRs), part of a ~30-person Regional Network, growing to over 300 ECRs worldwide, including - in cooperation with the ECRs' managers - relevant aspects Page 2 of annual performance reviews.\n \n\u25cf Serve as an E&C role model, spokesperson and liaison to employees and other stakeholders across the Airbus organization.\n \nRisk & Investigations \n \n\u25cf Proactively analyze site-specific compliance risks, particularly concerning manufacturing operations, and develop concrete, actionable mitigation strategies for the Site Head and SLT.\n \n\u25cf Lead internal investigations of alleged Compliance violations, partnering with HR, Legal and other functions, where helpful.\n \n\u25cf Evaluate evidence critically and unemotionally, and remaining open to reconsidering whether it may be misleading.\n \n\u25cf Assist with litigation matters, including the issuance of litigation holds and/or responses to subpoenas.\n \n\u25cf Guide professionals at AAI and its affiliated entities on conducting Internal Control Self-Assessments and serve as a focal point for internal and external audits and subsidiary Fit-Checks.\n \nProgram Management \n \n\u25cf Oversee and make timely, informed decisions on the E&C compliance program, including due diligence for third-party engagements, conflict of interest disclosures, and requests for gifts, hospitality, and sponsorships.\n \n\u25cf Promptly and professionally respond to requests from various stakeholders, including AAI Leadership, the Office of General Counsel, Compliance Committees, and Internal and External Auditors.\n \n\u25cf Define, track, and report on key E&C metrics and workstreams, consistently seeking to improve the clarity and usefulness of E&C reporting to stakeholders.\n \n\u25cf Scrutinize Airbus' Directives, Methods and Guidelines to ensure alignment and coordination on implementing processes and procedures.\n \n\u25cf Become proficient with Airbus' electronic tools and process flow management in support of decisions, as well as to enable guidance and training to end-users. \u25cf As part of Airbus' OneTeam culture, contribute to the North American OneRoof team's objectives by completing tasks, meeting deadlines, and achieving results.\n \nQualified Experience / Skills / Training: \n \nEducation:\n \n\u25cf Bachelor's degree from a US accredited university (or equivalent)\n \n\u25cf Law degree (juris doctorate) from a qualified US institution, or equivalent legal training, preferred.\n \nExperience:\n \n\u25cf Minimum of 10 years of progressive professional experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial enterprise.\n \n\u25cf At least 3 years in a dedicated Compliance leadership role and significant exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.\n \n\u25cf Demonstrable experience implementing processes and controls in E&C, export control, regulatory, quality, finance, audit, corporate or a related discipline.\n \nLicensure/Certifications: \n \n\u25cf Professional certification such as a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) or paralegal certificate is welcome but not mandatory.\n \nKnowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities: \n \n\u25cf Unequivocal standards regarding ethics, integrity and fairness.\n \n\u25cf Ability to manage projects by applying consistent and clear communications.\n \n\u25cf Skilled at prioritizing tasks, increasing efficiency, and maintaining structure throughout the workday.\n \n\u25cf Capability to write well;
