Join our world‑class team today.Position Specific DescriptionAs the Director, Development you are responsible for originating and advancing electric transmission infrastructure opportunities across the Northeast U.S. (NYISO, ISO-NE, PJM) and Canada with a particular focus on New England.Key Duties And ResponsibilitiesDevelops and executes regional transmission development strategy for New England (ISO-NE) market and supports adjacent markets similarly.Identifies, evaluates, and advances new transmission project opportunities, including competitive solicitations and bilateral developmentsBuilds and maintains strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including utilities, regulators, policymakers, and potential development partnersRepresents the company at industry conferences, working groups, and regulatory forums to enhance market visibility and influence outcomesMonitors market, policy and regulatory developments (RTO, Commission, State/Local authorities, etc.) and incorporates insights into development strategyLeads early‑stage project activities, including project concepts, site identification, routing considerations, partnership structuring, and initial commercial frameworksCollaborates with internal cross‑functional teams (engineering, development, regulatory, finance, legal) to position projects for successful advancementSupports competitive proposal developmentProvides appropriate updates and strategic recommendations to senior management on project pipeline, risks and opportunitiesPerforms other job‑related duties as assignedLocation: Boston, MA or New EnglandTravel: Up to 25%Job OverviewEmployees in this role are responsible for leading and coordinating key functions of a project such as financial feasibility analysis, engineering/design, project legal review and financial negotiations. The position plays a key role in building strategic relationships and executing major contracts necessary to support the Company's generating business growth initiatives. This role reviews and oversees the development of key project agreements.
