    About The PositionThe Golden State Community Foundation is looking for a strategic, collaborative, and results‑oriented Director to lead the Foundation's fundraising strategy, operational excellence, and organizational execution. In this role, you will drive philanthropic revenue growth while overseeing the operational infrastructure that enables the Foundation's community impact initiatives, signature events, and strategic partnerships.You will lead development efforts, fundraising operations, donor stewardship, partnership engagement, organizational planning, and day‑to‑day Foundation operations across a diverse portfolio of programs and initiatives. Additionally, you will develop and execute fundraising strategies, strengthen operational systems and processes, manage cross‑functional initiatives, and ensure the successful execution of Foundation priorities in collaboration with internal departments, corporate partners, donors, and community organizations. This position reports to the Executive Director.Come share your expertise and knowledge within a growing sports and entertainment organization that values your initiative, creativity and dedication.This is a full-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the Foundation's annual fundraising strategy to achieve philanthropic revenue goalsCultivate, solicit, steward, and grow relationships with corporate partners, donors, foundations, and community stakeholders to expand philanthropic supportIdentify, develop, and secure new philanthropic partnerships, sponsorships, grants, and funding opportunities aligned with the Foundation's mission and strategic prioritiesOversee donor stewardship, sponsorship fulfillment, gift acknowledgments, and engagement strategies that strengthen long‑term relationships and donor retentionLead fundraising operations, including donor database management, prospect research, campaign tracking, reporting, and development systemsDevelop fundraising collateral, sponsorship proposals, impact reports, Board presentations, and executive communications to support donor cultivation and fundraising effortsLead operational planning and execution for Foundation programs, community initiatives, signature fundraising events, and engagement activationsDevelop and implement organizational systems, workflows, and operational processes that improve efficiency, accountability, and scalabilityOversee project management, organizational planning, budgeting, implementation timelines, and cross‑functional execution across Foundation initiativesManage administrative operations, vendor relationships, contracts, reporting, and internal communicationsEstablish performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting processes to measure fundraising performance, operational effectiveness, and community impactBuild and maintain the operational infrastructure necessary to support the Foundation's continued growth and long‑term strategic objectivesPartner with the Executive Director on organizational planning, annual priorities, budgeting, and long‑term strategic initiativesPrepare reports, presentations, and updates for Foundation leadership, Board meetings, and key stakeholdersOther duties as assignedRequired Experience & SkillsBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience7+ years of leadership experience in nonprofit development, sports, philanthropy, corporate partnerships, community engagement, sports philanthropy, or a related field.Experience developing and executing fundraising strategies, donor cultivation and stewardship, sponsorship development, and partnership managementProven experience leading organizational operations, project management, and cross‑functional initiatives in a fast‑paced environmentExperience building systems, processes, and operational infrastructure that support organizational growth and long‑term sustainabilityStrong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, reporting, and organizational planningExcellent relationship‑building, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to engage executive leadership, Board members, donors, corporate partners, and community stakeholdersProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Google Suite; experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, Blackbaud) or similar donor management systemsAbility to manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, and handle confidential information with professionalism and discretionPassion for advancing community impact through philanthropy, strategic partnerships, and operational excellenceTime CommitmentAbility to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends for Warriors and Valkyries home games and Foundation‑aligned eventsCompensation$106,000 - $112,000 + BonusComprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision benefits for employees and dependentsEmployer 401K matchVacation, Summer Half‑Day Fridays and a generous paid time off plan for pregnancy and parental leavesWarriors home tickets, team store discount and more!Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.Golden State is an equal opportunity employer.We will ensure that qualified applicants with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment.Want to learn more about who we are and what we value?
