This is a full-time position located in Abilene, TX. Candidates must live or relocate to the Abilene area. Relocation assistance is available. Salary and Benefits
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $139,400 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, as well as reflect Oracles differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Data Center Construction to join our team in Abilene, TX. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the construction oversight efforts of data centers by colocation providers, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and understand complex data center construction projects that are being constructed by colocation lease providers.
- Analyze the projects for risk profiles and work with colocation providers to mitigate.
- Develop and implement long-term standards and strategies for data center colocation construction projects delivery certainty to align with organizational goals.
- Lead and mentor a team of project managers, engineers, and construction professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Lead and manage the construction oversight efforts of data centers by colocation providers, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating with colocation providers to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
- Analyze projects independently to evaluate the risk profiles associated with timely delivery, address gaps in risk identification and mitigation, and inform the business of associated potential impacts.
- Work closely throughout design, construction, and commissioning to fully coordinate and integrate the tenant fit out projects with the teams leading these efforts.
- Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure all construction activities meet design specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure that construction activities align with the approved design plans and specifications.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and colocation providers, facilitating clear and effective communication.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
- Provide ongoing colocation Provider evaluation input for continuous improvement.
- Regular project visits to ensure schedule, coordination, and quality will be required throughout the life of the project on a regular basis.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating innovative solutions to enhance data center performance and sustainability.
- Attend meetings held in various time zones to support live engagement and support of international projects.
