Director Credit Risk IT Production Support

This leadership role is responsible for overseeing production operations and support for critical credit risk and counterparty systems within a financial services environment. The Director will balance strategic oversight with hands-on technical engagement, ensuring stability, performance, and continuous improvement across core platforms.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to senior engineers and support teams, driving accountability and operational discipline
• Oversee production support functions with a focus on stability, incident reduction, and process enhancement
• Maintain and improve adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and operational benchmarks
• Ensure business continuity by delivering reliable system performance with minimal operational disruption
• Serve as a subject matter expert across credit risk and counterparty exposure systems
• Partner with stakeholders across risk, technology, and business teams to align priorities and execution
• Contribute technically when needed using SQL, Snowflake, Databricks, and Python

Required Experience & Skills

• 15+ years in IT Operations or Production Support, specifically within financial services
• 5+ years in a senior leadership or Director-level role supporting credit risk and counterparty platforms
• Strong understanding of risk metrics, exposure calculations, and operational reporting
• Demonstrated success managing large-scale, high-availability production environments
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Snowflake, Databricks, and Python
• Bachelor's degree required

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry certifications (e.g., ITIL, cloud platforms, data engineering tools)

• Deep domain expertise in credit risk and counterparty exposure is essential
• Prior experience with comparable risk or trading-related systems strongly preferred
