Overview: We are seeking a Director, Content Acquisitions, to be a key contributor role in acquiring content for Paramount's TV Media Group. The Director will work closely with key partners in the TV Media Group and with a wide range of teams throughout the company, including Programming, Finance, and Research. This role is designed as a senior individual contributor and will drive negotiations for movie deals and be involved in series negotiations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the process and negotiations for movie packages, additional service options, additional telecast options for assigned studios business.
  • Work closely with Department Head to prep and strategize on series acquisitions, working deals from start to execution.
  • Key Liaison with Studio/Distributor contacts, ensuring strong, positive relationships with key salespeople.
  • Develop and distribute Internal Deal Memos, communicating key deal points to appropriate constituents.
  • Work with Legal team to ensure contracts for closed deals are accurately drafted and closed and executed on time.
  • Manage the inputting of closed deals into the department's database.
  • Track competitive marketplace information and ensure that it's entered in department database.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 6+ years of experience in Content Acquisitions with robust film and TV series knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage end-to-end content acquisition deal processes, including negotiation of licensing terms, stakeholder alignment, and contract execution.
  • Proven people management experience, including leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced media or entertainment environment.
  • Strong analytical understanding, including fluency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Programming and/or Scheduling Background a plus.
  • Salesforce experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with industry trends, competitive landscapes, and market analysis.
  • Ability to pivot with ease and flexibility and deep attention to detail and consistency.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, executive-ready insights.

Hiring Salary Range: $130,000.00 - 170,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
