The Director, Compliance Operations is a key enterprise role responsible for the day-to-day execution and continuous improvement of Acadia’s Compliance Program. Reporting to the VP, Compliance, this leader operationalizes training, monitoring, reporting, and disclosure processes that ensure regulatory alignment and support ethical decision-making across a national, multi-site organization.

 

This role is ideal for a compliance leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution and is passionate about enabling caregivers through clear, effective, and scalable compliance practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Operationalize and manage core components of the Compliance Program, including training, disclosure, monitoring, and risk assessment activities
  • Lead day-to-day execution of compliance training and education, including curriculum management, delivery, and completion tracking
  • Administer the Ethics & Compliance Hotline and reporting systems, ensuring timely triage, investigation tracking, and resolution of issues
  • Oversee compliance program workflows, including risk assessments, exclusion screening, work plan initiatives, and policy management
  • Develop and deliver compliance communications to strengthen awareness and reinforce a culture of integrity
  • Maintain documentation and reporting for leadership, Compliance Committees, and Board-level oversight
  • Monitor corrective actions and ensure adherence to established compliance protocols and procedures
  • Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Operations, Quality, Risk, and Internal Audit to drive a coordinated approach to compliance
  • Analyze compliance data and trends to inform decision-making and program enhancements
Qualifications:
  • 7 to 10+ years of experience in healthcare compliance, risk, or audit within a complex, multi-site environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Legal Studies, or related field; CHC or similar certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks including OIG and DOJ guidance, HIPAA, Stark Law, and Anti-Kickback Statute
  • Demonstrated expertise in compliance program operations, incident management, and regulatory reporting
  • Advanced analytical, organizational, and project management capabilities with strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex regulations into actionable insights and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to advancing ethical, patient-centered care
  • Experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder compliance preferred
