Anderson University seeks applications for a full-time, 12-month position as Director of our online M.S in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. A Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from a Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) approved program is required. The ideal candidate will have a record of graduate teaching and advising experience as well as leadership experience in developing programs and should be familiar with accreditation standards required by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). Faculty rank and status will be determined at the time of appointment based upon experience and record of scholarship.

The responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to:

  • Coordination of the counseling program

  • Preparing an established program for CACREP accreditation

  • Providing academic oversight to the program

  • Chairing the graduate program admissions committee

  • In conjunction with the Dean, making recommendations regarding the development of and expenditures from the budget

  • Providing or year-round leadership to the operation of the program

  • Recruiting students and receiving and responding to inquiries regarding the overall academic unit

  • Assessing academic graduate programs per CACREP and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) guidelines
