Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Director Cardiac Care for an exciting opportunity in Panama City, FL.
Responsibilities
- Lead department planning, implementation, integration, and coordination in support of organizational goals
- Drive performance improvement initiatives and optimize resource utilization
- Develop systems that support seamless patient flow throughout the continuum of care
- Establish and oversee educational programs for patients and staff
- Partner with physicians to provide clinical and operational leadership
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, services, and care delivery innovations
- Facilitate multidisciplinary patient care conferences for complex and high-risk patients
- Lead and support research initiatives in accordance with IRB guidelines
- Develop and execute short- and long-range strategic plans and departmental objectives
- Ensure operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and quality outcomes
- Recruit, hire, mentor, evaluate, and develop department staff and leaders
- Manage employee performance and disciplinary actions when necessary
- Promote a collaborative, patient-focused culture across the organization
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) License required
- Minimum 5 years of recent acute care RN leadership experience required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification required within 30 days of employment start date
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational management skills
- Experience driving quality improvement and patient care initiatives
- Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
