OVERVIEWALO is seeking a strategic and innovative Director of Asset Protection to lead a modern, scalable approach to protecting our people, product, brand, and retail experience across a rapidly growing global footprint.This role will build and scale a next-generation asset protection function that combines operational leadership, technology, data intelligence, strong partnerships, and brand-aligned execution to reduce risk, improve efficiency, and support growth. The Director will partner cross-functionally to deliver scalable solutions while intentionally moving beyond traditional asset protection models.RESPONSIBILITIESStrategy, Technology and Operational ExcellenceDefine and execute a forward-looking asset protection strategy across all locationsImplement and optimize systems including CCTV, EAS/RFID, access control, and analytics platformsIntegrate emerging capabilities such as video analytics, predictive alerting, and automated reportingEnsure systems are scalable globally while configurable for local market needsPartner with IT and Operations to drive system integration, reliability, and adoptionDevelop consistent standards, playbooks, and operating practices that support field execution, accountability, and continuous improvementGlobal Security Operations and ResponseLead the strategy and implementation of a third-party Global Security Operations CenterEstablish performance standards, SLAs, and KPIs for all external partnersEnable 24/7 monitoring supported by effective alerting, triage, and escalation practicesAlign GSOC capabilities with crisis management and business continuity needsDrive continuous improvement through performance management and auditsRisk, Intelligence and InvestigationsBuild a centralized risk, data, and analytics framework to deliver actionable insights on shrink, incidents, and emerging trendsLeverage analytics, automation, and emerging technologies to prioritize risk and enable proactive mitigationSupport investigations across internal and external theft, fraud, and organized crimeImplement standardized case management and intelligence-sharing practicesPartner with Legal, HR, and external agencies to ensure compliant and effective outcomesServices and Vendor StrategyLead strategy and oversight of third-party providers including guard services, GSOC partners, and investigative vendorsEstablish clear accountability, performance metrics, and cost controlsContinuously evaluate and optimize vendor performance and scalabilityIdentify opportunities to enhance services through automation and technologyResource StrategyDesign a scalable asset protection resource model aligned to business growth and riskOptimize deployment of internal and external resources across marketsLeverage technology, automation, and process improvements to increase team effectiveness and support scalable growthLead talent development, training, and performance management across the functionGlobal Scale, Innovation and DifferentiationBuild a globally consistent framework that supports local market customizationImplement risk-based models to align investment and controls with store-specific needsLead innovation through pilot programs, test-and-learn approaches, and rapid scaling of proven solutionsChallenge traditional approaches and continuously improve how asset protection is deliveredBrand-Aligned ApproachEnsure asset protection strategies support ALO's premium and elevated store experiencePartner with Retail and Store Design to embed security seamlessly into the environmentDeliver solutions that are effective, discreet, and aligned with the brandPosition asset protection as a value-driving function that supports both protection and performanceQUALIFICATIONS8 to 12 or more years of experience in retail asset protection, security operations, or related fieldProven leadership in building and scaling modern asset protection programsExperience implementing GSOC operations and managing third-party providersStrong understanding of retail risk, systems, and data-driven decision makingExperience leveraging analytics, automation, or advanced technologies in operational environmentsDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence at a senior levelStrong business acumen, communication, and leadership skillsExperience in premium or high-growth retail environmentsGlobal or multi-region experienceCPP, PSP, or similar certificationsThe base salary range for this position is $165,000-$185,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company's total rewards package for exempt employees.
