The Role
This Director-level positionis responsible forleadingambulatory access operations across multiple specialties, ensuring patients can efficiently enter and navigate the UVA Health system. You will work in afast-paced, highly matrixed environment, partnering closely with physicians, administrators, and operational leaders to drive measurable improvements.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
Lead and developlayered teams, including managers, supervisors, and frontline leaders, fostering accountability and performance consistency
Oversee enterprise access functions such as:
Scheduling operations and template optimization
Referral management
Contact center performance
Capacity management and patient throughput
Usedata, analytics, and performance metricstoidentifygaps and implement scalable solutions that improve patient access and operational outcomes
Drivechange management initiativestied tonew technologies, workflows, and access strategies across multiple service lines
Collaborate withphysicians and senior leadershipto align operational priorities with clinical needs and system goals
Balance competing priorities across acomplex, multi-specialty portfolio, ensuring both local service line success and adherence to enterprise standards

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Master's degree required; a combination of relevant experience and education may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience, to include 4+ years of formal management experience.
Licensure: None.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
The starting base rate for this role is $91,329.00 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.Benefits
