Job Title:
Directional Drill Locator (HDD Tracking Specialist)
Job Summary:
Use advanced locating equipment (Falcon f5) to track and guide the drill head during HDD operations, ensuring accuracy, safety, and avoidance of existing utilities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Track drill head in real-time using locating systems
· Communicate constantly with drill operator
· Maintain proper depth, pitch, and alignment
· Verify locates and potholing before drilling
· Perform calibration and accuracy checks daily
· Document bore paths and job data
Requirements:
· 2–4+ years HDD locating experience
· Experience with DigiTrak or similar systems
· Strong communication skills (you and driller are a unit)
· Ability to interpret ground conditions and adjust
