Momentum is hiring a Direct Support Professional I (DSP I) - Floater to provide support to adults with disabilities. As a Direct Support Professional I (DSP I), you will be responsible for the implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP) that will lead to or continue to promote independence and personal skills, well assisting in providing a safe and secure home environment for persons supported in Momentum’s Independent and Community Living Services program.

DSP I - Floater Essential Responsibilities:
Provides assistance with daily living skills in accordance with the persons supported schedule and Individual Service Plan (ISP)
Assists with daily needs/tasks within persons supported home
Prompts and provides assistance with medication management, as needed
Assists persons supported in all aspects of personal care, including hygiene
Assists persons supported in weight bearing and non-weight bearing transfers, as needed
Complies with all Momentum policies, procedures, and regulations
Performs other duties as assigned to meet departments and/or business needs
DSP I - Floater Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Valid and current proof of legal right to drive in California; required
High school diploma or equivalent; required
Must have reliable phone/access to phone (monthly stipend)
Minimum of one (1) year experience working with people with developmental and/or other disabilities; preferred
Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate effectively in English
Successfully pass all post-offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug screening, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs., and transfer individuals
Use of personal vehicle for assignments throughout service areas not normally assigned; highly preferred
Must be available to travel throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties, as needed (mileage reimbursed)
