- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, toileting
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and document any changes or concerns
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met
- Provide companionship and engage individuals in meaningful activities
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for the individuals
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe environment for everyone
Skills:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a similar caregiving role
- Knowledge of hospice care, assisted living, or related fields is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, their families, and other team members
- Ability to lift and transfer individuals using proper body mechanics and assistive devices as necessary
- Basic first aid knowledge and the ability to respond calmly in emergency situations (We will train)
