Position Summary
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you are a caregiver to an adult with autism, developmental disabilities, and/or intellectual disabilities. You will work with an adult and their shared living provider to promote independence and community inclusion through various daily living skills including: budgeting, meal prep, housekeeping, grocery shopping, decision making, transportation, and personal support. By offering your compassionate support, You will support an individual to make daily progress toward their goals.

Woodfords Family Services is a nonprofit organization thats been committed to the support and inclusion of people with special needs and their families in Maine communities for over 55 years! Today, the organization provides a wide array of clinical, educational, behavioral health, residential, community and family support programs to more than 2,000 children, youth and adults with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses throughout the state. Additionally, the agency is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA), whose program of quality improvement is designed to identify providers that have met high performance standards and have made a commitment to their stakeholders to deliver the very best quality services.
