Responsibilities
As a Team Lead, youll provide direct support while serving as a resource for your team throughout the shift. Every day brings new opportunities to make a positive impact by:
Qualifications
Education:
High School diploma or GED Required. Associate's Degree in Social Services or related field preferred.
Experience:
Experience working with individuals living with mental illness or behavioral health needs.
Previous experience in a direct support, residential care, behavioral health, or human services setting.
License(s)/Certification(s):
Maintain a valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. Adult CPR, First Aid and Mandatory Dependent Adult Abuse certification. Successful completion of a Medication Management course that is approved by the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals and/or HCBS, within six-months of hire.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to speak, read and write fluent English. Ability to read and comprehend common terminology of the mental health field. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Must possess good interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure. Ability to remain emotionally neutral when intervening with clients. Ability to establish and maintain boundaries with clients. Must enjoy working with people.
Other:
Support and abide by departmental and agency policies and procedures. Perform job in safe manner, insuring safety for self, team members and residents. Perform other duties as assigned.
