Job Responsibilities

This position provides care and supervision of all assigned residents to ensure a safe, healthy, secure and pleasant environment, which promotes growth and development.


· To facilitate client growth and development toward independence in self-care, daily living skills, socialization and community living. This includes: observing and supporting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation and hygeine routines, medication administration, community activities.


· To participate in the development of the individual service plans, behavior support plans and related documentation and document client progress as they move through the service delivery system.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

· Preferred Associates degree in the social sciences or health care related field and one year of relevant experience in the MH/MR field; or any combination of work experience, lived experience, education or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability. Minimal high school diploma required.

. Demonstrates crises intervention/prevention and de-escalation skills

· Good communication skills, both oral and written

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Must be available for local travel and possess a valid driver's license.

Must be able to pass a criminal background check

CPR/first aid and medication administration training preferred
