About the Role 


We’re looking for a Direct Care Supervisor with backgrounds in juvenile detention, behavioral health, or residential treatment. This is a hands-on role working with youth (ages 6–17) with mental health behaviors/diagnosis or Intellectual Disabilities/Autism. You’ll ensure safety, provide structure, and support their treatment journey.

Full-Time Supervisor Pay - $23 - 25 per hour, DOE


Supervisor must be available for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations, to meet program and staffing needs

What You’ll Do 


  • Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate direct care staff

  • Coordinate staff schedules, assign duties, and manage shift coverage

  • Provide support during crises and ensure staff adhere to behavior management protocols

  • Oversee daily routines, therapeutic activities, school involvement, and life-skills programming

  • Maintain compliance with juvenile justice standards, mental health regulations, and organizational policies

  • Conduct room checks, facility walkthroughs, and contraband prevention measures

  • Lead crisis response and oversee use of approved verbal and physical de-escalation strategies


What We’re Looking For


  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, criminal justice, or related field (some agencies accept experience in lieu of degree). 23+ years old (per state licensing requirements)

  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in juvenile justice, residential treatment, or mental health direct care

  • Training/certification in crisis intervention required

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Must pass FBI fingerprinting & drug test

  • Supervisor must be available for flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations, to meet program and staffing needs
