The Director of Marketing and Research manages all Real Estate Databases and Market Research information for the Office. Provides Management and Sales Associates with the resources required to promote the company, differentiate our market knowledge and effectively market commercial properties by performing any or all the Duties and Responsibilities identified below.  The Director Marketing and Research works in conjunction with Senior Management and the Office Administrator.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing (40%) – Assist Sales Associates in the marketing of commercial properties and securing Agency and Representation Assignments through the following: creation of Flyers – In-house and professional; create Offering Memoranda; Brochures – in-house and professional pieces; develop Presentations and Proposals; create and submit media and company information for public relations/press releases (within established guidelines; create and submit print and electronic advertising (within established guidelines); compile targeted mailing lists that re requested; liaison to real estate professionals, media and public requesting company information and commercial real estate market information; organize and execute promotional shows such as trade shows and job fairs; create featured property websites in conjunction with third-party providers; and communicate Exclusive Listings to targeted groups.

Research (35%) – Manage tracked inventory database; research and compile current and historical market information and trends such as inventory and vacancy statistics; manage and collect data for comparable sale database; handle requests from associates and management to find information on companies, competition, properties, etc; create a variety of maps; compile demographic data; and research traffic count data; maintain photo library; research and recommend software options for improved Marketing, Research and Communication capabilities; assist with marketing and  research projects from other offices as needed; and train Sales Associates on use of Marketing and Research resources.

Information Systems/Database Management (10%) – Responsible for network systems and system and software management. Liaison to Widewaters Group IT.

Reporting and Record Keeping (10%) – Complete Market Reports as required.

Travel Time Commitment (5%) – Travel by car may be required as needed. A commitment is required to attend weekly sales meetings and quarterly administrative meetings.

Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four year college or university in Business and Marketing Information Systems. 

Excellent interpersonal skills, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Must exhibit solid planning and organizational skills with exceptional analytical skills. They must be able to relate and work effectively with a highly diverse work force with a high work ethic and a genuine interest in the success of others.

Proficient in computer word processing and type at least 40-45 wpm. Must have an ability to operate general office equipment, including: telephones, photocopiers, printers, typewriters, postage machines, etc. Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite software including Outlook and Teams.

The position requires a valid New York State Driver’s License.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
