This position provides full-scope, hands-on dining room management in the Culinary Services Department. Responsible for maintaining a superior level of quality service and cleanliness at all times.Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Dining Director:* Oversee the daily operations, appearance, and service standards of the dining room to ensure an exceptional resident and guest experience.* Lead, coach, schedule, and support serving staff while fostering a culture of hospitality, accountability, teamwork, and professionalism.* Lead by example through hands-on support, positive resident interactions, and a willingness to assist wherever needed.* Create a warm, welcoming, and hospitality-focused dining experience reflective of fine dining service standards.* Build meaningful relationships with residents and families by actively engaging throughout meal service, anticipating needs, and responding promptly and professionally to concerns or service requests.* Ensure high standards related to food presentation, cleanliness, organization, table settings, uniform compliance, and overall dining room ambiance.* Partner closely with Culinary leadership to ensure smooth communication, operational efficiency, and exceptional meal execution.* Conduct pre-meal meetings and ongoing training to reinforce customer service expectations, hospitality standards, and dining room procedures.* Monitor staffing levels, scheduling, and service flow to support operational and budgetary goals.* Assist with dining room operations as needed, including serving, clearing tables, resetting dining spaces, and supporting team members during busy service periods.* Maintain a positive, flexible, and solution-oriented mindset in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment.* Support special events, holiday meals, and community functions requiring elevated dining service and hospitality.Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:* High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.* Minimum of 3 years of restaurant, hospitality, or senior living experience with prior leadership or staff management responsibilities preferred.* Previous experience in fine dining, country club, luxury hospitality, hotel, or upscale senior living environments preferred.* Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop hospitality-focused teams.* Passion for creating exceptional resident experiences and meaningful customer interactions.* Ability to remain calm, organized, and service-focused in a fast-paced environment.* Excellent conflict resolution and customer service recovery skills.* Knowledge of hospitality etiquette, dining room presentation, and elevated service standards preferred.Benefits:At Rose Senior Living, we understand that our employees work best when they are healthy, happy, and excited about the here and now, as well as the future.
