Digital Technical Architect III | Enterprise Solutions | Clinical & Corporate Systems

Strategic Technical Architect with experience partnering with end users, application teams, and solution architects to evaluate requirements, manage priorities, and deliver cost-effective technical solutions aligned with organizational goals. Proven ability to serve as a single point of accountability for specialized technical domains, while building strong relationships across corporate and clinical stakeholders. Skilled in driving architecture decisions, optimizing system performance, and ensuring scalability, compliance, and alignment with enterprise strategy.

Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM (On call support required, as needed).

Key Responsibilities

Technical Partnership & Strategy

  • Partner with end users, application teams, and solution architects to evaluate business and technical requirements, aligning solutions with strategic objectives.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into actionable plans for non-technical stakeholders, including clinical and corporate partners.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, influencing architecture decisions and technology direction across multiple teams.

Architecture & Solution Design

  • Design and implement scalable, cost-effective technical solutions within a defined specialization area (e.g., infrastructure, applications, data, cloud).
  • Conduct cost-benefit and feasibility analyses to support prioritization and investment decisions.
  • Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and compliance standards.

Ownership & Specialization

  • Serve as the single point of accountability for a defined technical domain, ensuring consistency, optimization, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain deep expertise in specialized technologies and provide guidance to project teams and leadership.
  • Lead architectural reviews and recommend enhancements to improve system efficiency and reliability.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with clinical and corporate stakeholders to support business-critical initiatives.
  • Facilitate alignment between business priorities and technical capabilities across departments.
  • Lead cross-functional discussions to resolve competing priorities and deliver optimized outcomes.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. For SRE: Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Management

  • Experience: Ten years + Technical Analyst, or Developer Role. FOR SRE: Cloud Architect, SRE, Data Engineer, or DBA Role, required. Ten years + FOR SRE: Public Cloud Technology (Azure, GCP, AWS), required.

  • Licensure/Certification: TOGAF-9, CITA-F, ITIL-F, COBIT-5, CISSP-ISSAP, or equivalent, preferred. FOR SRE: Microsoft Certified Azure Data Fundamentals or equivalent in other public cloud technologies; Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate or equivalent in other public cloud technologies; Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent in other public cloud technologies; Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent in other public cloud technologies, preferred. FOR SRE: AWS or GCP Professional Level Certification, preferred.

  • Additional Skills Required:

  • Expert skill to engage and quickly build understanding of the technical area in which they operate.

  • Expert knowledge of technologies (past, current, emerging) that support business capabilities within scope of engagement and partnership for a given technical area.

  • Expert knowledge of information technology design principles and practices.

  • Expert knowledge of information technology frameworks (ISO, COBIT, ITIL, etc.).

  • Expert diagramming skills (process, component, entity, logical, physical).

  • Expert knowledge of Kubernetes and microservices architecture

  • Ability to work with vendors and internal customers to craft, document, and verify solutions that meet data and analytics requirements.

  • Ability to mentor and train others in the data platform stack.

  • Ability to diagram and communicate data flows and workflows.

  • Advanced knowledge of the data platform technology stack.

  • Expert knowledge of Agile methodologies.

  • Expert knowledge of DevOps methodologies.

  • Expert knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Expert knowledge of Azure PaaS Services for data manipulation, orchestration, containerization, and data storage.

  • Expert knowledge of federated database solutions (Starburst).

  • Expert knowledge of cloud data warehousing technologies.

  • Expert knowledge of Azure Databricks.

  • Expert knowledge of Apache Airflow

  • Expert knowledge of Apache Kafka and the associated data frameworks (JSON, AVRO, Protobuf)
