Digital Marketing & Content Coordinator

Part-Time | 15 20 hours per week - Salary: $20-$21 per hour
Reports to: Director of Marketing & Strategic Communications

Position Summary

The Digital Marketing & Content Coordinator executes Carmel Catholic's digital marketing initiatives, managing website updates, email deployment, social media, and digital content systems. This role is responsible for building, publishing, and optimizing content across platforms to support admissions recruitment, advancement campaigns, and institutional storytelling.

Working closely with the Communications & PR Specialist, this role ensures content is accurately implemented, visually consistent, and optimized for performance across all digital channels.

Primary Responsibilities

Website Management & SEO
  • Update and maintain website pages using provided content, ensuring proper formatting, functionality, and user experience
  • Implement SEO best practices, including metadata, keyword placement, internal linking, and page structure
  • Optimize key pages particularly admissions pages for search visibility (e.g., "Catholic high school near me," "private high school Lake County")
  • Publish and format SEO-optimized content
  • Monitor basic SEO performance (traffic, rankings) and identify opportunities for improvement
Email & Digital Campaign Execution
  • Build, design, and distribute email communications using provided content, ensuring proper layout, branding, and functionality
  • Maintain and apply email templates to ensure consistency across campaigns
  • Optimize email performance through formatting, testing, and basic analytics
Social Media Management
  • Execute social media strategy by scheduling and publishing content that highlights student life, programs, and school culture
  • Support admissions and campaign initiatives through social media promotion
  • Monitor engagement and performance of social media content
Digital Content Execution
  • Manage and update digital displays, including marquee and internal signs
  • Create QR codes and supporting digital assets for campaigns and events
  • Coordinate with CDN and photography students to source, organize, and implement visual content
  • Produce and manage signage and visual materials, including alumni accomplishment displays
Digital Content Production & Brand Consistency
  • Create graphics and visual assets for digital campaigns and communications
  • Maintain templated design systems to support consistent branding across departments
  • Ensure all digital content aligns with Carmel's brand standards and visual identity
Content Organization & Workflow
  • Maintain the content calendar in collaboration with the marketing team
  • Manage incoming marketing requests and support project workflow
  • Organize and tag digital assets within a shared content library
Admissions & Campaign Support
  • Support admissions events and initiatives through digital content, promotion, and on-site materials as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or related field
  • Experience managing websites, social media, and digital marketing platforms
  • Graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools)
  • Understanding of SEO fundamentals and digital content optimization
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
