PURPOSE:
The Digital Learning and Teaching Facilitator will work directly with classroom teachers, students, and instructional staff in a non-evaluative role to provide training, (professional development), and support on implementing effective technology integration, the Information and Technology Essential Standards, the revised North Carolina Standard Course of Study, and administrative applications into effective instructional practices.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with teachers and other school and district instructional staff to develop curriculum materials and specific lesson plans that integrate technology.
Model safe, ethical, and effective integration strategies of technology in all curriculum areas.
Facilitate school participation in technology programs and activities.
Serve as an advocate for the schools.
Provide professional development on research-based instructional practices in the areas of technology integration, the Information and Technology Essential Standards, and the North Carolina Technology Competencies for Educators.
Collaborate with media coordinators to provide leadership in the school's use of instructional technology resources to enhance learning.
Collaborate with lead instructional personnel at the school and district level to establish instructional support teams at the schools.
Implement best practices related to technology use in the school program based on research, pilot programs, and state/national standards to ensure fidelity to research based instructional practices.
Collaborate with teachers and technology staff to analyze student assessment data, reflect on instruction, select resources, and plan instructional activities that are compatible with the school technology infrastructure and based on student need.
Serve as the liaison contact between central level supervision and school staffs for addressing hardware and software issues.
Serve as a liaison to facilitate and connect district resources and personnel.
Provide leadership and collaborate with school leadership to develop, implement, and update a school instructional technology plan aligned the system-level technology plan.
Collaborate with teachers, media and technology staff, and students to evaluate and select resources addressing curricular needs and learning goals.
Collaborate with teachers and other specialists to identify students' interests, learning styles, and unique instructional requirements and to design instructional strategies guided by universal design principles.
Prepare and submit accurate reports as required.
Improve or enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of programs, operations and processes in the system.
Fulfil the instructional vision of the schools as set forth by the principal
Identify the core curriculum
Collect and analyze relevant data
Assist school and district leaders with key instructional initiatives
Provide resources and assistance for classroom teachers
Compile reports for school and district administration to inform strategic plans and intervention strategies.
Perform other duties as necessary or requested to support ongoing operations of district and individual school(s).
