The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) is seeking a Digital Content Specialist for the department of Student Engagement. If you are interested in the field of digital content creation, and management, then we encourage you to apply!
The Digital Content Specialist develops creative digital content that promotes Student Activities programs, events, and initiatives. Through graphic design, social media management, and campus collaboration, this position helps engage students and support the department's marketing and communication goals. The position is housed within Student Engagement in the division of Student Affairs at UAA.
To thrive in this role successful candidates will bring a blend of creativity, organization, and strong communication skills, along with experience creating digital content for organizations, brands, or projects. They should be comfortable using graphic design and video editing tools, managing multiple priorities and deadlines, and maintaining a consistent brand voice across platforms. A strong attention to detail, familiarity with accessibility standards and analytics, and the ability to collaborate effectively with campus partners will contribute to success in this role. A background in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or related field and one year relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Position Details:
This is a full-time, term-funded, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 77, based on education and experience.
