Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic assessments and repairs on diesel vehicles efficiently and accurately
- Execute repairs and maintenance according to dealership standards and manufacturer specifications
- Test-drive vehicles and utilize diagnostic tools to ensure accurate diagnosis and effective repairs
- Clearly communicate repair needs and time estimates to Service Advisors
- Collaborate with the parts department for timely acquisition of required parts
- Document all work performed clearly and accurately on repair orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local safety regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA standards
- Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as directed
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Diesel Technician
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ford Diesel Certification highly preferred (not mandatory)
- CDL certification preferred (not mandatory)
- Team-oriented with a commitment to customer satisfaction and quality service
- Self-motivated, professional, and reliable
- Own tools required
