Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic assessments and repairs on diesel vehicles efficiently and accurately
  • Execute repairs and maintenance according to dealership standards and manufacturer specifications
  • Test-drive vehicles and utilize diagnostic tools to ensure accurate diagnosis and effective repairs
  • Clearly communicate repair needs and time estimates to Service Advisors
  • Collaborate with the parts department for timely acquisition of required parts
  • Document all work performed clearly and accurately on repair orders
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local safety regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA standards
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as directed

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Diesel Technician
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ford Diesel Certification highly preferred (not mandatory)
  • CDL certification preferred (not mandatory)
  • Team-oriented with a commitment to customer satisfaction and quality service
  • Self-motivated, professional, and reliable
  • Own tools required
