Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic / Heavy-Duty Technician to join their team in Troy, TX. This full-time position involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and related heavy-duty components. The role includes both shop and field work using a company-provided service truck.
Job Responsibilities: - Diagnose and repair heavy-duty engines, transmissions, drivelines, and suspensions.
- Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filters, and fluid checks.
- Handle welding, fabrication, and frame/suspension work when needed.
- Use diagnostic tools to interpret codes and troubleshoot system failures.
- Maintain accurate work orders, parts records, and safety standards.
- Participate in mobile/roadside service calls within the coverage area.
- Support parts management and mentor less experienced techs.
Qualifications:- Proven experience as a diesel/heavy-duty mechanic or technician
- Hands-on experience with diesel engines, transmissions, and drivelines.
- Ability to use diagnostic and mechanical tools effectively.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or ability to obtain).
- Welding/fabrication and DOT inspection experience a plus.
- Strong communication, reliability, and problem-solving skills.
