Industrial Injection is looking for a hands-on Diesel Technician – Fuel Systems to join our Heavy Duty Injector Shop in Salt Lake City. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys mechanical work, takes pride in doing the job right, and wants to build technical skills in diesel fuel systems, injector testing, and component remanufacturing.

What You'll Do
In this role, you will work with heavy-duty diesel injectors and related fuel system components. You will be trained to inspect, clean, test, troubleshoot, rebuild, and verify components so they meet company quality standards and customer expectations.
Responsibilities include:
- Rebuilding, servicing, and testing heavy-duty diesel injectors and fuel system components
- Working with injector systems such as Caterpillar, Cummins ISX15, ISL, Celect, and ISX mechanical injectors
- Operating injector test stands and specialized shop equipment
- Troubleshooting injector and fuel system component issues during testing and repair
- Following technical specifications, work instructions, and quality standards
- Completing production orders accurately and efficiently
- Reporting labor time, production activity, and work results through company systems
- Helping maintain inventory accuracy through proper handling of parts and materials
- Keeping your work area clean, organized, and safe
- Following all shop safety rules, PPE requirements, and company procedures
- Participating in training, cross-training, and continuous improvement
This position supports production quality, customer satisfaction, and shop efficiency by performing hands-on technical work safely and accurately.
What We're Looking For
You do not need to have held the exact title of "Injector Technician" to be considered. We are interested in candidates with strong mechanical ability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn diesel fuel systems.
Qualified candidates may come from backgrounds such as:
- Diesel repair
- Automotive repair
- Mechanical repair
- Manufacturing or remanufacturing
- Machine shop work
- Small engine repair
- Equipment repair
- Parts rebuilding
- Technical school or hands-on mechanical training
Required Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work safely in a shop or production environment
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to read and follow technical specifications, service data, or work procedures
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, and use hands for tools and small parts throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and move parts, tools, and materials up to 60 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with diesel engines, fuel systems, injectors, pumps, or related components
- Experience in mechanical, manufacturing, remanufacturing, or technical shop work
- Familiarity with Caterpillar or Cummins diesel systems
- Experience using test stands, shop equipment, hand tools, or precision tools
- Experience using ERP, MRP, or production tracking systems
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Overtime or occasional weekend work may be required based on production needs
Work Environment
This job is performed in a shop environment. Employees may be exposed to noise, oils, chemicals, moving mechanical parts, tools, shop equipment, and other industrial conditions. Proper PPE and safe work practices are required.
