Diesel Shop Service Manager

- Base salary plus uncapped monthly departmental commission

Interstate Power Systems is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead service operations at our state-of-the-art 100,000 sq. ft. facility in Lakeville, MN. This key leadership role focuses on driving department performance, business growth, and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer satisfaction
- Recruit, hire, train, motivate, and retain top service talent
- Support company sales efforts
- Monitor key metrics: revenue, profitability, efficiency, and productivity
- Ensure safety compliance and adherence to policies
- Accurately quote jobs and maintain consistent pricing
- Oversee work orders and service invoicing
- Communicate goals and policies to the team
- Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professionalism
Requirements:
- Strong experience in the heavy-duty diesel truck/equipment industry
- Proven leadership in a service or diesel environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of heavy-duty diesel equipment and repair processes
- Understanding of financials (P&L) and business metrics
- Experience with Lean/5S principles preferred
- Prior Service Manager or Supervisor experience strongly preferred
