We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain our fleet of diesel-powered buses. The ideal candidate is a skilled technician who takes pride in keeping vehicles safe, reliable, and road-ready, ensuring our drivers and passengers get where they need to go without interruption.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines and coach-related components of over-the-road buses
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
Repair or replace defective parts, including engines, transmissions, and brakes
Maintain accurate records of all service work performed
Follow all safety procedures and company protocols
Communicate clearly with drivers, dispatch, and the maintenance manager regarding vehicle status and repair timelines
Stay up to date on the latest diesel engine technologies and repair techniques
Qualifications:
2+ years of professional experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably on buses, trucks, or heavy-duty vehicles
Own your own basic shop tools - specialty and shop tools provided
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Must be able to obtain a CDL – we’ll help cover the cost
Must be able to do shift work – including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs, work in confined spaces, stand for long periods, and work under vehicles
ASE certifications preferred
