Position Overview:

The Service Technician I is responsible for assisting with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of motorcoaches and other commercial vehicles. This role performs routine service and repair tasks while working closely with other technicians to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of motorcoaches and other commercial vehicles.
  • Perform routine mechanical service and maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Work collaboratively with other technicians to support repair and maintenance activities.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Follow all local, state, and federal regulations, including EPA, OSHA, and DOT requirements.
  • Accurately document repairs and services performed using shop computer systems and work order software.
  • Maintain accurate time and attendance records.
  • Continue developing technical knowledge and skills related to vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Demonstrate professionalism while upholding ABC's core values.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of mechanical, heavy equipment repair and diesel engine experience preferred.
  • Technical training, trade school, or mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Must possess the tools necessary to complete assigned responsibilities.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems preferred.
  • Experience with body or interior component repairs is a plus.
  • Audio/Video system knowledge preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver's license required. CDL Class B with passenger endorsement preferred or ability to obtain.
