Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician B to help with repairs and maintenance on tractors, trailers, lift gates, and reefer equipment at our Martin Brower facility in Conroe.
+ Candidates must have the ability to make on the spot repairs to trailers, lift gates reefer units and tractors.
+ Must be able to make timely decisions on road calls and driver pull-ups and have the ability to relay information to driver/business unit and team members by phone, email.
+ Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft application, troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical equipment using computer software to aid in troubleshooting.
+ Candidates should know how to do proper pm's on all equipment with minimal supervision.
Shift: Full-Time l 2nd shift Sunday-Wednesday 1:00pm-11:30pmPay: $28.00 - $30.00/hr, depending upon experience

Position Responsibilities:
+ The Fleet Technician focuses on the preventative maintenance of the fleet diesel equipment, identifying root causes of basic failures to perform repairs as needed
+ As the Fleet Technician, you will complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance
+ You will inspect brake systems to ensure that machines are in proper operating condition and make sure that equipment has required licensing and registration
+ You will use hand tools and power tools such as screwdrivers and perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery
+ You will examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices
+ Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
+ High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 plus years of related experience
+ Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds
+ Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
+ Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement)
