• Must maintain a strong safety record and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on diesel trucks and heavy equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service work.
• Repair or replace defective components including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and fuel systems.
• Utilize diagnostic software and tools to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Complete work orders accurately and document repairs in maintenance systems.
• Inspect equipment to identify potential issues and recommend corrective action.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and emergency repair situations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, heavy trucks, trailers, and related systems required.
• Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and air brake systems preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and computerized maintenance systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with team members.
• Must supply personal mechanic tools (specialty tools provided by company as applicable).
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred or ability to obtain.
