Diesel Mobile Mechanic position in Grand Rapids, MI, working Monday to Friday 1st shift with a pay rate of $30-34/hour, with potential for higher pay with bus, Cummins/International experience, and certifications.
- Servicing gasoline and diesel buses, performing maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of engines and transmissions.
- Maintaining brakes, air systems, fuel, HVAC, and wheelchair lifts, ensuring DOT compliance.
- Diagnosing mechanical issues and conducting preventive maintenance, keeping detailed records.
- Requirements include medium duty bus experience (preferably International), own tools, CDL B with air brake endorsement (preferred), and A/C certification.
- Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and work under pressure are essential.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, maintain punctual attendance, and perform job functions safely per standards.
