What We Need From You Job Duties and Requirements:
- Diesel performance and engine repair
- Complete MPI inspection for service advisors, including estimate and explanation
- Test drive vehicles with customers to evaluate noise and vibration concerns
- Repair vehicles based on diagnosed issues and repair estimate
- Test drive vehicles after repairs have been done to ensure customers' complaints have been resolved.
- Determine any additional work that should be done to the vehicle after a test drive
- File appropriate documentation on each repair
- Keep up to date on all manufacturer information and training that will affect vehicles' repairs (recalls, etc.)
- Return the vehicle to the appropriate location, ensuring the vehicle is locked, numbered location is updated, and wiped off/cleaned accordingly.
Essential Job Functions:
- Must have a valid drivers license and meet company motor vehicle report standards
- Certain manufacturer certifications are preferred but not required.
- Diesel experience preferred
- Must be able to stand for long periods
- Must be able to work in varying temperatures and noise levels
