Join Husqvarna Construction as our Diamond Segment Compaction Specialist

Help transform powdered metals into precision diamond segments that power industry‑leading blades and bits.

Your impact

  • Cold press powdered metal diamond segments to exact specifications for downstream blade/bit manufacturing.
  • Keep operations compliant, safe, and efficient while meeting production targets.

Core responsibilities

  • Prepare tooling: measure height and verify parallelism; assemble die parts in the cold press.
  • Set up and fine‑tune machine parameters; remove and inspect dies at changeover or completion.
  • Organize and select the proper tooling for each work order; maintain familiarity with manufacturing equipment operation.
  • Clean equipment to ready it for subsequent orders.
  • Perform in‑process quality checks using a micrometer (height, length, thickness) and confirm weight with a precision electronic balance.
  • Document quality checks and order completion details; collaborate with Quality Control on inspection techniques and standards.
  • Follow company policies to ensure compliance with EPA/environmental requirements and OSHA Safety and Health Regulations throughout the cold pressing process.

Schedule

  • Second shift: Monday–Friday, 2:30–11:00 p.m.
  • Occasional overtime and some Saturdays.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience preferred.
  • Strong basic math ability.
  • Working knowledge of industrial math and the metric system; exposure to diamond tool design elements is helpful.
  • Proficiency with micrometers and precision balances.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 30 lbs.; occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.; occasionally push/pull up to 15 lbs.
