Under general supervision, the educator assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates components of the diabetes education program at the diabetes and endocrine practice. Eager Street, Baltimore, MD 21202Qualifications and CertificationA Bachelor's degree in Dietetics.Current license or registration in a specific allied health profession (e.g., Registered Dietitian) required.Must obtain Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) within 1 year of employment.Knowledge of medical terminology, diagnoses, and basic disease processes; analytical ability to gather data, evaluate conformity to predetermined criteria, identify problems, and refer for resolution.Basic knowledge of medical records coding standards; awareness of licensing and accreditation standards.Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with relational EMR data documentation; ability to conduct research and formulate recommendations.Requires a minimum of 2 years' experience.Salary RangeMinimum $34.62/hour – Maximum $57.19/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
